The current situation in Germany
Imagine it's summer and your friends are going to the swimming pool or climbing in the high ropes course. For you, however, it's clear that you'll only be able to buy the bare essentials this month.The trip there and back by public transport alone would hardly be feasible, and having to buy something to eat or drink as well, like everyone else does as a matter of course, would be so expensive that there wouldn't be much left over for the rest of the month.
The feeling of not having the same opportunities and freedom to organize one's free time is very stressful for many.
In Germany, about one in five children lives permanently or temporarily in circumstances where leisure activities, such as a visit to the zoo or the cinema, are financially unmanageable for them and their families.
In addition to visits to the zoo, many other activities are part of social life. Unfortunately, not being able to participate in them often means feeling excluded.
Our solution
Together with plusX, you can make an impact and close the gap between rich and poor a little further. As a non-profit start-up, we offer a digital donation platform where people who normally can't afford leisure activities receive free vouchers.
So that greater cohesion in society and togetherness is possible again, everyone can donate activities and join in the joy when the voucher is redeemed locally.
The donated vouchers will only be used for the benefit of people who cannot afford the visit. You can reserve the vouchers online and redeem them on site.
On our digital donation platform, we bring together local leisure providers, donors and participants and thus offer the space for more equal opportunities in our society.
